Before continuing, we'd like to bring to your attention two small but hugely important facts: 1) The Internet is a network of computers 2) Computers break
Computer hardware doesn't last forever, conspiracy theorists would argue it's even "designed" to break. Ghosts in the machine or humans near the machine? Whatever the reason or law, we have continuation plans in place to ensure our servers are repaired or replaced in as short a time as possible. Should something terrible happen we hold backups which are scheduled at times specified and arranged with our clients.

So what of those pesky humans? Well, humans are weird. They invent wonderful things, then promptly set about the task of testing them and each other, usually to the point of total destruction. Electronic mail for instance was such a wonderful, but ultimately flawed invention due to one small word, trust. In the good old days you could send a message to a friend, loved one, colleague, associate, accomplice or complete stranger without ever imagining they would actually receive it, let alone read it. Once the bugs were hunted down and humanely executed people started reading, replying, forwarding, sending terrible jokes, and pretty much having fun in inbox loads. They trusted their e-mail, and that everything they received would be safe and worth reading.

Meantime, somewhere in the dark and dank stinking recesses of somewhere known as the human mind, a light turned on, a eureka moment was had. From this day forward eViL MiNioNs typed semi-lucid messages to inform us all of their painful cheapness, their exceedingly high levels of service and their unprecedented medical skill in enhancing our body parts. They even defied common mathematical laws which normally keep a lid on the number of ways you can spell an every-day word like V*i=a*g*r-a®. Money making opportunities, get rich quick schemes, assisting a Martian Prince to obtain monies held from him by the Galactic bank of Theslona beta, you name it, well actually don't bother as it's already been named, it's called SPAM and it's not to be trusted.

Not content with the written word, e-mail developers invented attachments, the ability to send files in e-mails, and so the nightmare truly begins and pretty much ends with one word, Virus.

So, trust the Internet at your peril, it's teaming with pesky humans!; firewall your connection to it, treat every e-mail you receive as spam or a virus and scan it, assume your site will blip at some point and plan a continuation stratergy. Keep things mean and clean, it's serious business and we're keen to help you make sure it stays that way, for the most important business on the Internet, yours.
